Née dans le sud de la France, Mimi montre dès un jeune age sa sensibilité pour l`Art et plus précisément une attirance pour la couleur.Elle suit une formation d`Arts Plastiques et d`Histoire de L`Art à Uzes puis Montpellier. Quelques années plus tard elle part habiter en Angleterre et décide de s`envoler dans une carrière aérienne. Durant des années Mimi collecte de ses voyages tout autour du monde des instants magiques, elle profite de ce dépaysement autour du globe pour retracer son ressenti en couleur . Artiste abstrait, ses techniques sont diverses et variées elle puise ses inspirations dans l'observation d'autres artistes comme Gerhard Richter, Jackson Pollock, Zao Wou-ki. Le voyage sous toutes ses formes devient son principal moteur d`inspiration qui lui permet de représente sa vision dans laquelle le spectateur pourra a` son tour voyager. La peinture de Mimi, mais surtout la gamme de couleur matière, maîtresse de ses tableaux est son moyen d`entrainer et de communiquer avec les autres sur un voyage intérieur et de créer un sentiment de bien être, de paix ou le rêve a sa part.

Mimi Saboya was born and lived primarily in the South of France where her sensibility for the arts showed from an early age. She initially studied Art and Art History in Uzes and subsequently in Montpellier, where she qualified in 1992.

Mimi has travelled extensively, collecting inspiration all around the world by visiting galleries and museums and by absorbing the atmosphere around her. Travelling is the foundation of her work. During her travels, Mimi captures certain moments and paints them using different mediums. Her style is primarily abstract, being partly inspired by Gerhard Richter and Zao Wou Ki. Her techniques are diverse, she likes to spend time searching for the most appropriate ones before putting them into practice. Material, light, depth, relief colour and texture are the key elements in her work. Painting is her way of communicating and escaping into a magical and imaginary world. Mimi enjoys taking the viewer on a inner journey and creating a feeling of well-being and peace.

The past few years she has exhibited her work in England and France.
